Tips to prepare your motorcycle battery

    Serviceable Lead-Acid Battery

Replace the transport cap with the overflow pipe.
    Remove the filling caps.
Fill each compartment to the upper level with the included acid.

Leave the battery to rest for 15 minutes after refilling.
If after these 15 minutes the acid level has reduced then refill again to the upper level.

Recharge the battery with an appropriate charger (without which no guarantee will be honoured):

    • For batteries with capacities from 2Ah - 5Ah use a charger with a maximum current of 1A. (Recommended charger: CEP5145 + XXX0047 + XXX5113 [EU Plug])
    • For batteries with capacities from 5.5Ah - 12Ah use a charger with a maximum current of 3A. (Recommended charger: CEP5123 [EU Plug])
    • For batteries with capacities from 12.5Ah – 32Ah use a charger with a maximum current of 7A. (Recommended charger: CEP9002 [EU Plug])

Charging will take from 1 hour to 5 hours.
Wait 5 minutes after having disconnected the charger, then clip the strip of caps into place and dry the battery if necessary.

Your battery is now ready for use.

    MAINTENANCE & USAGE ADVICE

Respect the polarity of the battery and avoid short circuits.
    Once the battery is installed:
    • Do not tie or clamp the overflow pipe
    • Ensure the battery is firmly attached to your motorcycle
    • Grease the terminals to prevent corrosion
    • If the motorcycle will be inactive for a period of over one months we advise you to disconnect your battery and store it away from extremes of temperature. Remember to charge it regularly.

    Maintenance Free Lead-Acid Battery

Place the battery on a flat surface and peel back the film

Remove the strip of caps from the acid container.

DO NOT REMOVE OR PIERCE THE PROTECTIVE PADS – THEY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY PERFORATED WHEN THE COMPARTMENTS ARE INSERTED INTO THE FILLING HOLES

Place the container of acid vertically over the filling holes and then push down firmly to pierce the covering plate.
    • The acid will flow from each compartment into the battery. If certain compartments do not flow freely then tap the container or gently squeeze the sides of the compartment.
    • Never remove the container of acid until each compartment is completely empty.

    Remove the empty acide container.

Leave the battery to rest for 15 minutes after refilling.

Proceed to recharge the battery with an appropriate charger (without which no guarantee will be honoured):
