How to choose your NiCd or NiMH charger?
- Find out the number of cells to charge (1 NiCd or NiMH cell is equivalent to 1.2V, 2 cells are equivalent to 2.4V ...).
- For a slow charge between 14 to 16h, we recommend a 0.1C charge, «C» being the battery capacity. Do not exceed this charge criteria with chargers who do not have an automatic stop.
- For a fast charge under 3h, we recommend a charge from C/3 to C, «C» being the battery capacity. In this case, you must use an intelligent charger (with Delta V, technique that enables to identify the full charge of a battery and to stop the charge).
